For today’s DIY tutorial, I drew inspiration from a lace shirt dress by designer Dries Van Noten. I thought it would be a great way to elevate a basic shirtdress and I already had all the materials on hand anyways (well, mostly).
I’ll be showing you how I recreated the designer look for less using a couple men’s dress shirts paired with an elegant contrasting lace trim. As you can see, I did mine in the reverse colorway. Not by choice but I like mine better anyways 😉
Materials Used:
Matching Threads (shirt & lace)
10″ Wide Floral Lace Trim (1 yd)
2 Men’s Dress Shirts (sizes vary; see video)

The End Result
Overall I’m happy with the outcome. What I love most is that the lace hides the seam in front where the two men’s shirts are joined so the dress appears to be all one piece.
