Criss-cross Dress Refashion: Before & After

Vintage Criss-Cross Dress Refashion

I know I’ve been MIA lately but I’m still recovering from Thanksgiving (ugh). Nah, I’m kidding. I had to step away for a Christmas gig. Tis the season right? Speaking of holidays, here’s a festive vintage number I found online. When I got it, the seams were ripped open in areas and the construction was…

I mentioned this diy cape in my last post as it being the perfect pairing for the pleated dress. You’ll see why in a minute, if you haven’t scrolled down already! Originally, I got this jacket because I was on the hunt for one to DIY a cape. I was instantly sold on the sophisticated look…

DIY Pleated Hem Lace Dress Vintage Refashion

In the spirit of fall, here is yet another find from the lot I picked up on my first trip to Savers thrift store. I was captivated by the whimsical elegance of the pleated hem and neck tie. Once I managed to look past the odd pairing (the lace, that is). I saw it’s true…

Vintage Dress turned Open Back Romper Refashion

September 28, 2016 | Tiffany

I was iffy about this vintage dress when I first spotted it online. Didn’t take much convincing though, when I realized it was dirt cheap ($3) and was in a size 18, meaning lots to work with. Once I had it in my possession, it sorta grew on me as it looked better in person….

DIY Split Sleeve Draped Dress Vintage Refashion

September 21, 2016 | Tiffany

Every time I looked at the once dated vintage chiffon dress with it’s ruffled bib cowl collar, I wondered, “How exactly was this worn?” For such a modest look, I would’ve loved to see how it was styled. Obviously it was paired with some form of underlay as it’s see-through. What really caught my eye…

DIY Vintage Pleated Dress Refashioned into 5-in-1 Outfit

How neat are the pleats on this vintage number! You would think with such an elaborate print it wouldn’t work but surprisingly it does. Speaking of the print, it is exquisite! To be honest, I wasn’t entirely sure how I wanted to refashion this vintage dress. The pleats were a keeper that’s for sure. The…

DIY Vintage Black Floral Lace-up Dress Refashion

This vintage number was from a lot I got on my first trip to Savers thrift store. I couldn’t get past the big and bold flowers printed along the end of the sleeves and hem. As soon as I picked it off the rack, I started mentally putting looks together and thought of the perfect…

Paisley Maxi Dress Refashion: Before & After

Maxi Dress Upcycle into Reversible 2 Piece Outfit

August 08, 2016 | Tiffany
Refashions+ DIY

I picked up this maxi dress a while back even though I wasn’t a big fan of the shirring (i.e. rows of gathers using elasticized threads) along the bust. What sold me on getting it was the print. Isn’t it funny how a print can greatly influence a purchase?! Anyways, the more I wore it,…

DIY Denim Skirt from Shirt + 5 Ways to Wear

August 01, 2016 | Tiffany

For the life of me, I can’t recall who or where I got this denim shirt from. It was likely from a relative or I snatched it from a reject pile during a spring cleaning event (one of my favorite pastimes). Either way, good quality denim is one of those things I can’t pass up. Originally,…

This is probably the quickest and easiest upcycle This is probably the quickest and easiest upcycle I’ve ever done, and the results speak for themselves. ✂️ I whipped this up in just a couple of hours, with most of the time spent removing the turtleneck lol. No sewing machine required. Just a few snips here and there and a bit of hand sewing. 🎀 Oh, and it’s reversible too! In the video, I simply reversed the top for steps 1 & 2 😁 Full tutorial on my channel #linkinbio

I had this vintage dress and an idea to upcycle it I had this vintage dress and an idea to upcycle it by incorporating the belt buckle as a decorative accent. Coming up with the idea was the easy part. Figuring out how to make it work was another challenge. 🤦‍♀️

I actually had to sleep on it for a couple of days because I wanted the buckle to be removable. I was worried it might tarnish in the wash. 🤷‍♀️

That’s when it hit me, Why not make the dress convertible? In the end, I transformed it into a two-piece set! ✂️ It turned out to be one of my most versatile and favorite remakes so far. Check out the tutorial to see how everything came together! 💃🏻
