Hello and welcome to Paper Michey! I’m Tiffany, the creative force behind the blog. I’m an avid thrifter, eco-conscious designer and plant lady. Like the average woman, I love a good bargain. I am also BIG on DIYs and enjoy tapping into my creativity. Fashion has always been a passion of mine from as far back as I can remember.
A few years ago I started blogging, as a creative outlet, to document and share my DIY fashion projects. Little did I know it would become so much more, as I started learning the effects of fast fashion. It was then that I found my true calling and my craft evolved and took on a new form.
I ditched fast fashion all together, got into thrifting and became strategic about projects I did. In addition, I started experimenting with my style mixing vintage with modern clothing.
I was constantly getting asked where I got my clothes or if I ever considered selling my redesigns. I toyed with the idea of opening a shop for sometime (I’m talking years). After realizing the vast collection of clothes I amassed over the years – thrifting vintage & refashioning – I finally decided to take the plunge.
That said, I haven’t bought new clothes in 5+ years! Instead, I’ve been shopping secondhand and redesigning pieces into fashionable trends. Here at Paper Michey, I show you how you can too, with my easy-to-follow tutorials.
A little more about Paper Michey…
Paper Michey, with Michey being my middle name (no, seriously), is pronounced like the namesake “papier-mâché”. It’s also based on a similar concept that incredible things can be accomplished with unwanted materials and a little IMAGINATION!
If you managed to make it this far, I’m impressed! On that note, thank you for stopping by and I hope you tag along with me.
XO ♥ Tiffany
